I am having possibly the worst day I've had all year. It started out me feeling nauseous and showing signs of having a bug, which is not very great because I was leaving on Sunday for Italy. Anyways, I decided to have a bath, and I then I cut myself shaving, my left ankle most likely has a scar now. But I can deal with all of those, that would be a minor bad day. Then I got the phone call. My boyfriend Matt called because his mother (who is the nicest, sweetest lady you will ever meet) had a stroke. He said he has to cancel the trip and spend time with his family in British Columbia for a couple of weeks to get everything back to normal. Its not that I'm very mad about the trip, even though I was extremely excited, I'm very worried about Janet (Matt's mom), because she is like a second mother to me, and Ive only been dated Matt for about 6 and a half months! And to top it all off, I'm PMSing and I just ate a Twinkie, which will go straight to my thighs. Watch out, I am in a foul mood.
Eph, I am not sure because me and Matt both work, and we were going to Venice and staying in a hotel called Vecellio, but Matt is the one who booked it all, so at this point, its all in his hands.
The doctors say Janet will be fine, she just needs time to heal. I am going over to BC later this week, because I already took the week off and Matt's family and I are very close.
thanks for your feelings, KT, I feel happier now because Matt called to say Janet's doctor called and she is doing exceedingly well.
Yeah, I am so releived, but she is still in the hospital, and I am planning on visiting her next week.
thats great news about his mother, Stokes are a scary thing. I hope everything works out. Good Luck to ya
Hello, Canuck! I'm Canadian, too.
Don't sweat the ankle scar. But as for the bug, boil up some ginger root, sage and mint. It should be thick, not watery, and gulp it all down. It's great for whatever may be brewing in your chest! And eat two tablespoons of honey every morning -- pure honey. Anyway, that's just a little tip from me to you. Be healthy.
I hope your bf's mother has a speedy recovery. Sending good thoughts her way (and yours too).
Thanks to Wynter and Filthy for there sweet comments, and Filthy, I go to Queens Uni and take the medical programme:)
I just realised my 'About Me' is unclear, so I fixed it up- sorry for the confusion.
I know Janet having the stroke is horrible, but it's also pretty shit that it conincided with your holiday. I hope for everyone's sake that it all goes smoothly
Sorry to hear that eyecandy, hope everything turns out OK
Don't worry about the twinkie, you
deserved it after a day like that!
wow candy.. that friggin sucks hard. Can you reschedule your holiday, and more importantly, is Janet ok?
Strokes are horrible, let's just hope it was minor and she slows down a bit and takes it easy. Keep us posted as to what happens.
Chin up. xxx
